Natasha hears a lone howl in the distance and knows her friend is calling to her. When she had left them behind her friend promised to howl for the whole night and if a response from Natasha did not occur, then they would assume her dead and mourn her. Natasha was not going to howl back, she felt it unfair for her pack to watch her die helplessly. She knew it would be easier if they just thought her gone, instead of knew it.

Chief hears the howls and out of curiosity he howls back in hopes to communicate.

Lesta hears the howl and perks her ears. She doesn't recognize the howl, but howls back anyway. Maybe Natasha is near this howler, but cant howl for herself, Lesta thinks.

Chief hears the worrisome response. Deciding this wolf might be in danger he runs off in the direction of the howl, sniffing the air as he goes trying to find a scent. He howls again in hopes to redirect his path.

Auron's ears perk at a lone howl. The hellfox had been slinking around the area, and didn't want to be noticed by any wolves while he was so close to the two packs. From Auron's experiences, wolves would have mixed reactions to a fox. Some were friendly enough to talk with- Auron had made quite a few wolf friends during his wanderings. But some wolves hated foxes and would respond with lethal aggression. His sister Aurora trotted up to him, staring towards the source of the howl, "Sounds interesting. Wanna head over and check it out?" Auron's ears flicked, a habit of his while thinking. His left ear gave one final dismissive flick as he started trotting towards the sound. "Sure, why not? I'm kind of curious to see what's going on." The hellfoxes' coats stood out against the trees. Auron's silver and black pelt had an almost etheral-looking shimmer as he moved, and Aurora's coat of cream and cinnamon-coloured fur was a bit fluffed up by the wind. The two moved quickly and quietly towards this mysterious howl.

(Oh my god, sorry for the text wall. I got a bit carried away, but I just wanted to get these two rascals described and introduced before the foxy antics continue!)

((Oh gosh I hadn't realized she had responded. Thank you!))
Lesta howls again. She listens and soon hears rapid footsteps coming from the distance. She howls again, to help the stranger find her. Her howls have a hint of fear in them, unsure of what was running towards her, a friend or foe.

Auron and Aurora slowed their pace. They were near to the source of the howling, and aired on the side of caution. The two nodded, Aurora's strange light-orange eyes meeting Auron's jade and frost-blue gaze. The two slowly padded into the sight of the lone wolf, knowing that a full-grown wolf would slightly outsize either of them. But the two were anything but normal foxes. They were ready to defend themselves with force no one would expect from foxes who didn't look like a threat...

Lesta stopped when she heard a twig crack. She let a growl form in her throat but held it in. She looked about, eyes scanning the forest. She sniffed the air slowly.

Aurora winced as Auron stepped on a twig, knowing the wolf would hear it. The two stepped out into plain sight, with their coats lending them an ethereal shimmer as the wolf spotted the siblings. Auron asked the wolf a simple question. He looked at her with his mismatched eyes and tilted his head, uttering the words "You're friendly, right?"

She dropped her growl, not caring too much either way for foxes. "Most of the time." She replied, to occupied with finding her friend to deal with them. She howled again, a long high howl, hoping it was the last one she would have to do.

Aurora immediately dropped her temper and asked with sincere concern, "Are you looking for someone? I- we- would be glad to help." Aurora dug at the ground with a claw, a somber expression suddenly taking over her normally determined eyes. "I know what it's like to lose someone dear to you. I don't want anyone else to feel that way if I can help it." The pair seemed to exude an aura of calm and sympathy, making the wolf feel their genuine desire to help her despite the fact they just met- and on somewhat shaky terms, none the less.

"Yeah, my friend is supposed to meet me here. She hasn't responded to me though, so she must be injured. I'm hoping this wolf will be able to help me find her and take her back to the pack." She explained, looking into the darkness between the trees, knowing the wolf couldn't be too far.

Auron nodded sagely. "I've learned the arts of healing. If your friend is injured, I should be able to help get them moving again." Aurora's ears pricked up, and the fire returned to her eyes as the sound of rustling leaves indicated another presence headed their way.
