Alright, if you know me well enough I get into these random fandoms all the time. For the past few weeks it's been Star Trek. I'm new to the Trekkie universe so some of my facts from the main story are going to be a long shot. :c Anyway...
You do not have to be a Trekker to join in the role-play. You also don't need to align yourself with the Federation; which to sum up is basically the whole of earth and many other planets. You can dwell on the same ship of another person or your own! Though this is about interacting with everyone; so I suggest we use one or two ships.
Weird alien humanoid things are allowed! Evil characters; perfectly okay. So feel free to join in and engage against Starfleet or Klingons; whatever suits your needs.
Characters I'll be playing: One James T. Kirk(Human); Leonard 'Bones' McCoy(Human); Jay(Human, Female OC). The Ship I'm Using: {The U.S.S. Enterprise}
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jay was bored. Looking out of the window in her quarters wasn't doing it for her today. To be honest, Jay was getting sick of seeing just stars, asteroids, and the occasional planet or two. When she had signed up for Starfleet she had been expecting more action, that is... until she found out that the ship she was assigned to (four years after the Academy) was not a warship, but an exploration ship. Granted yes, the U.S.S. Enterprise had saved the world. Twice. It didn't mean that you could expect more excitement while aboard the Enterprise during her five year mission to discover new worlds.
So to nicely put it; it sucked.
Pulling herself out of her thoughts she tapped the top of her knee. Turning to glance at the clock she signed in slight irritation; 0600, time to get dressed and get to the Bridge for yet another day of scanning the spaces around for any kind of signal. Getting up she brushed off imaginary dust on her black long sleeve. Moving towards her desk to grab her hairbrush she combed out the knots and moved on to her next task. Jay dug through her dresser to fetch the gold long sleeve she would put over her black one, then a pair of black trousers; because even if it was against Starfleet regulation, she refused to wear a skirt.
After getting ready she sighed and walked to her door and opened it; met with a familiar face. "Yes. Captain." She half hissed as he stood in front of her, arm outstretched to where he had already begun to type in the code to access her quarters. He smirked and moved his arm to cross with his other over his chest.
"Good morning to you too. Bones wants you at medbay." Kirk replied. "And I know just how much you love his hypos." Jay narrowed her light grey eyes to send him a withering look. 'Love' the hypos...?
"You sure you're not mistaking yourself for me, Jim?" She asked, leaning forward slightly to intimidate him, though this was the man who had died nearly a year ago and been revived by a mass murders regenerative blood. You can be positively sure that Captain Kirk was not easily intimidated.
"This time," He said as his smirk turned into a small frown. "I'm sure that he asked for you, not me." Everyone knew that Kirk hated his medical exams, everyone also knew that Dr. McCoy had to deal with Kirk's frequent injuries. Not even death could stop Jim from getting into trouble.
"Fine; I'll go. But you have to come down too, I'm not going to be his messenger and have to drag you down later." She retorted quickly. Jim's brow furrowed in a look of irritation and surprise. Jay arched her own eyebrow as she sent him a small smile. "Lets get going then, don't need Bones stabbing you with a hypo while you're in the chair."

Characters I'm playing: SPOCK (half Vulcan/ half human), Pavel Chekov (Human)
Spock walked through the halls to get to the bridge. His long legs carried him quickly and he nodded at the rare passerby going elsewhere. He walked through the opening door and looked around the room. Seeing everything in order, he took his seat, waiting for the Captain.
Pavel swiveled around in his chair and greeted Spock. With a nod in return he turns back around and navigates around some space debris. He checks the phasers to ensure they are able to fire at any debris they cant avoid.

[[OMG BRE I LOVE YOU. OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOGM SPOAAAAAACCCKKKKKK
and Chekov! <333 I love the way that kid talks. xD "One five wicker wicker two"]]
"Jesus christ I don't- OW, GOD DAMMIT." Jay's fierce gray eyes were locked on the doctors hand, mentally sputtering about how much she wanted to stab a hypo into Bones' neck to see how he liked it. Go damned doctors.
"Sorry." Was the doctors short and not-really-sorry reply. She snorted while hopping off the table, rubbing her neck absent mindly. Bones already had his eyes back on his Padd when she recovered from her small outburst. Doctor is always busy, so so busy; but not busy enough right now? Irritated? Maybe something happened with Joss? Ah well. Jay could have cared more if her eyes hadn't wandered to the dark purring tribble in a cage near his desk. Forgetting the "don't touch it, it might bite you" comments that were usually thrown her way when curiosity was placed on the little ball of fur.
She slid her fingers through the caging to touch it softly, it emitted a soft purr moving towards her hand for food. Too bad she had none. That would be a good prank for the future.. "If this thing has babies can-"
"No."
"... you like things with soft fur...?"
"No."
"Bones.. please???"
He glanced up to see her hand on the lock. "Dammit woman!" Her gray eyes went wide before she skittered out of the room like a frightened kitten. That is before a laugh was echoing from the hallways.
---
"Mr. Spock." Jim beamed, slapping the Vulcan hybrid on the shoulder before hopping into his seat and whirling to look at everyone on the bridge. "Sulu. You choose today; I'm not in the mood to point in a particular direction today, so just scan for something I guess and get us there." He tapped his fingers on the chair as the navigator grinned before starting a spacial scan. Maybe they would find something fun, or something not fun, or something that would require a fight. Jim didn't know, it was space after all, anything could happen.

((IKR!!!! All the z are s sounds or th sounds))
Spock stands up abruptly. "Captain." He said in his emotionless voice before sitting back down. He sits straight in his chair, hands on his knees, waiting for instructions or a request for advice.
"Captain, it zeems like zere iz an abznormal amount of spaze debri in zis zector. I zuggest we move onto a different zector. Or we could zearch for ze zource of ze debri." Chekov said, swiveling in his chair as he spoke to his Captain.
"Captain, I suggest we discretely try to find the source. We are here to discover new things, but we are also supposed to keep a low profile." Spock told Jim.

[[ Love that kid I swear. xD ]]
Kirk listened to both of his crew, taking a moment to think as he looked out into the depths of space in front of them. A small worry tugged at the back of his mind for a silent moment before he pushed it away, it was impossible for that sort of thing to happen anyway.. he thought to himself. "Okay... use evasive maneuvers, try not to hit anything and scan for any ships in the area. Ships with life on them."
Though his voice was calm his heart was beginning to quicken. The ugly thought of any possibility of something erie going on here was not good, not good at all. As he watched from the chair as Sulu turned on minimum power to the thrusters, something wrenched at his heart. He could swear this wasn't any other ship debri. He'd seen this before... destroyed it before, or at least he thought he had? Anxiety pulled at him as narrowed his eyes, studying a piece of debri they passed.
"Shit, put the shields up for the hell of it." He said quickly, the realization that hit him was like a knife to his stomach. The Narada.
--------
Jay tapped her fingers on the wall as she swaggered down the halls, no chosen destination for now. It wasn't her shift yet, so lazy ways call for endless roaming of the halls until someone pulled her attention elsewhere. She turned the corner to the room that was pretty much empty but had a huge bay window. Wasn't that dangerous? What if that window had a meteor smash into it? Stupid people... it wasn't her problem though; she could still enjoy the view. Easing up to the window she looked at the debri that they were moving through. Moving VERY slowly through; that is before she felt the small jolt that meant evasive thrusters were on.
She dismissed it and watched out the window like a kid at a candy shop. Some of the debri made sense, others did not. Like that longish piece of debri that seemed to have a sharp and deadly point at the end. An un-debri like movement caught her eye as she looked out, turning her head towards it, she could tell it was a shuttle. Narrowing her eyes she identified it as one of the Romulan Kestrels she had seen once before.
The realization on the fact that the shuttle was actually moving hit her. Not only was it moving quickly but it was moving quickly towards the Enterprise. "Holy cow pies." She blurted as she turned around and darted towards the room and into the hallway. "I gotta tell Bones."

((ME 2!!! I'm watching the 2nd one now.))
"Yez Captain." Chekov replies as he quickly types in the necessary commands to enact the shields. "Shieldz ready zir. May I azk why you want zem up?" Chekov turns for a brief second to look Kirk in the eye before turning around to avoid some close debri.
Spock looked at the Captain, knowing he was worried about something. "Captain, what are you thinking? Is this debri of some importance? Have you some logic for this precaution?" Spock already knew the answer but he needed to know if Kirk was going to say his worry or just keep it to himself.

Kirk grit his teeth as he looked out the bay window with frustration and a piercing hate rising from the deepest of his gut. A hate placed on a man for the death of his father, the negligence of his mother when his stepfather didn't do anything when he was kidnapped to Tarsus IV, the death of six billion innocent Vulcans, and the attempt of destruction to the only place that mankind could call their true home; Earth.
"Look at some of the inscriptions on the debris, Chekov, this isn't good..." The captain paused for a moment as a wave of heat boiled under his skin. "Scan every piece of debris, if you find anyone that is alive, beam them up and contain them in the Brig, and Spock." The blond turned his head to meet eyes with his first officer. "If we find him..."
------
"Bones, Bones, Bones. There's a little shuttle headed to the hanger, I swear to god, it was moving, I'm not even kidding, it's moving and it's really really fast. We should go down there with guns and kill anyone in the shuttle and-"
"Woah, kid. Slow down, I'm from down south! Speak a lot slower and maybe I'll understand then." The doctor interrupted the gasping lieutenant that was red faced and had a hand in her hair and another pointing down towards the floor. She took a long deep breath before blurting out an even faster explanation, finishing it off with;
"We should go down there with guns like now. Wait, get Jim!" Suddenly Jay was armed with a phaser and her grey eyes wide with adrenaline. Bones couldn't help but give her an irritated look opening his mouth to scold her for not listening at all and possibly hallucinating. He'd read her files and she had probably been bored out of her mind when her overactive imagination created a moving shuttle.
"Calm down, Jay. You don't have to whip out the phasers yet, I'm sure you were seeing something kid."
"God dammit, Bones! It's a shuttle, a Romulan shuttle! Comm Jim and tell him to meet me in the hanger!" She shouted as she disappeared out of the door.
-----
Kirk was interrupted mid-sentence when his comm activated, McCoy's voice patching through. "Jim please tell me Jay's having a spaz attack or there is actually a Romulan shuttle coming towards us?" Jim's caribbean blue eyes widened as he looked towards Chekov.
"Chekov! Check the scans, pull it down to a one thousand kilometer radius around the ship."

Can I join? If I can I'll be...a character of my own...Titara (female human OC lowest rank)
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Titara woke up to a rumbling sound. She rubbed her eyes to see a clear view. "What's going on?" She sees a shuttle coming on the other side. "That's not a federation shuttle. I'm going to find out whats going on." Titara dodges each cornor. She made a sudden stop and looked up to the ceiling knowing sombody had gone through the vents of the ship. Titara climbed up into the vents. She knew it was dangerous to go into ship vents like these. She caught a sudden glimpse of a person going into the left side of the vent. Titara made slow and carefull steps to follow this mystery person. She thought to herself why would somebody go through these kinds of vents? Still she followed on. She suddenly realized this person was going for the core of the ship. The person stopped for a second and looked to his side. Titara immediately got behind a cornor. She thought I need to kill this person who ever he is.

Chekov worked as fast as he could, his nimble fingers moving swiftly across the keys, trying to accomplish the Captain's orders. "Captain itz done. Iz it really a Romulan zip?" Chekov grew worried and looked out into the vast darkness, squinting to see any ships that may be lurking in the distance. He couldn't see any, but the debris didn't help matters.
"Captain, if it really is a Romulan ship, I think it would be best that we try to avoid it, using warp speed." Spock examined the tense state of the Captain, knowing Kirk thought they were probably going to be in serious danger if they did not act fast.

"I don't know, Chekov. I want to hope you're right, Spock... but what if it's not who we think it is?" Kirk paused as he cast a glance towards his first officer. He grit his teeth in frustration, damn Romulan shuttles, never turning up on the scans. They could be scrambling the sensors... "Spock, I don't like the amount debris around us. We can't go into warp right here, we'd warp into all of this... crap. I think that if it is a Romulan ship, they'd be jamming our scans; that's what I'd do anyway. Chekov, send a hailing frequency out and we'll see if someone responds."
----------
Jay stalked through the shuttle bay, her eyes scanning over the large area of the bay. She hated the prickling feeling that made the hairs on the back of her neck stand up, and the vague sense of something about to happen was making her anxious. Nervously she thought over what she had learned out Romulan's in the academy; unlike Vulcan's they didn't repress emotion, like humans they seemed to act on it. They were strong, and also seemed to have the best kinds of ships out of the three factions. Starfleet depended on a good defense and a wrecking ball of weapon power, the Klingon's used speed and heavy weapon damage.. and then the Romulan's; they had durable ships that could take massive amounts of damage, their shields made to practically reflect anything shot their way. Then the weapons, a force of destruction so great they easily took out groups of Klingon's with little more than a few spreading torpedoes.
She stopped as a hissing sound echoed quietly. Her head turned from her left to look to her right, eyes locking as green particles began to fuse themselves into a person. Seconds passed and there was a Federation officer glaring at a relaxed looking Romulan.
"How did you get on this ship." Jay spat, her phaser immediately out and pointed at the Romulan. He tilted his head a little before folding his hands behind his back.
"A more proper question would by why are you here?" He hissed, head tilting up as he returned her glare. She narrowed her eyes, making sure to remember the tattoo's that were on his face. Kirk had described this one.. she swore.
"Name?" She asked, doing her best to loose her attitude as they faced off.
"I am the first officer of my ship; L'eya."

Chekov did as he was told, silently wishing someone would respond. They knew someone was definetly out there, and if they didn't respond, then they obviously had something to hide and were probably going to attack. "Zir?" Chekov said as he stared, wide-eyed at the screen.
Spock debated on what they should do if they didn't get a response. They had no idea where the ship was and it would be difficult to locate it if they decided to attack. Spock knew their defenses couldn't survive a full Romulan attack and if they wanted to, the Enterprise would be destroyed. He decided to weigh the options before giving any advice. He knew they couldn't warp, even though it was the most logical thing to do. They couldn't locate the other ship if it didn't want them to, and if they were attacked they couldn't defend. So offence and defense were out of the question.
He hoped that an answer of peace would come up on the screen or they would be screwed and Spock would only be able to tell the Captain that they should warp, again. Spock was frustrated but hid it with expert care. He felt as though they were defenseless, a tiny ant being burnt by the sun through a magnifying glass. He knew that Chekov was an excellent navigator, but could he make through all the debris? Spock just couldn't wrack him brain enough to find the right thing to do.

Jim tapped his fingers on the armrest of his chair. It had been nearly thirty seconds and they still floated in the dead silence among the debris of the wrecked ship. He could just imagine it now.. the massive Borg infused Romulan mining vessel uncloaking just in front of them, only to mercilessly destroy the Enterprise without a second thought. He felt his skin chill as a cold sweat broke out. To be honest, Kirk had not thought that he had had any after effects after the brief battle with the Narada... now he knew he was wrong; and it only took the anticipation, fear, and realization of the moment for his PTSD to capture his mind.
He opened his mouth to speak only to be interrupted by his communicator going off. 'Urgent; found something in shuttle bay E. Come down ALONE. ~Jay'
----------------------------------------------
"L'eya? Wait... O'ren-Nero... so.. Ayel." Jay flipped her communicator back into her pocket while watching the Romulan carefully. Ayel, raised his head, clearly impressed by her quick thinking. Maybe humans aren't as dull as we made them out to be, he thought watching her warily.
"I assume you have made Captain Kirk, aware of the situation?" He mused, drawing the young captain's name out. The girl raised an eyebrow giving him a defiant glare before crossing her arms over her chest.
"Why are you alive? Why are you here on our ship, on the Enterprise, asking to be forgiven? You really think the Federation is just going to forgive you? No, you destroyed Vulcan and then you tried to destroy Earth! Your Captain didn't even think about the consequences his wrath could have had on Romulus' future. You kill the Federation, you kill the only person who can fix what is destined to happen to your home. Didn't you think before you came marauding through space, declaring a one ship war on the Klingon's, the Federation, and even your own Empire?" She hissed, grey eyes wide and dilated. Jay had taken on a more aggressive and wild stance as she patronised Ayel, one that most humans that knew not to piss Romulans off would not take. He opened his mouth to make a retort but she gave him a look that held an undeniable amount of loathing and intelligence.
"I... tried to stop the Captain from doing this but he could not be stopped, minutes after the destruction of your Federation ship, the Kelvin, some of our crew left in shuttles and he killed them..." Ayel paused, watching as her tense stance eased a little. "We were captured by the Klingon's and imprisoned for twenty five years, every year I thought about the possibility of returning to Romulus, or that starting a war could have adverse effects in the future. Our home was destroyed and Captain Nero wanted revenge on the one who had allowed it to happen; do you humans not seek revenge on those who kill someone close to you?"
Jay blinked, taking in his words and thinking them over. She knew that they had been captured and held for a long period of time, tortured and starved most likely. She swallowed and meet his gaze again. "What he did, what you did, still cannot be pardoned. You still committed genocide, and unless you can sweet talk your way with Jim, no one is allowing you to join Starfleet..."

Spock stared at Jim as his communicator went off. "What is it Jim? Any news about the ship?" Spock asked, knowing he was informed on a majority of the situations in the ship. Sometimes Jim would leave him out, but only because he didn't want Spock to harass him, that Spock knew.
Chekov tried to focus on navigating through the debris but his eye was drawn to the Captain as well. He was curious, even though he knew his main job. He was glad that the ship had two other navigators helping him, or he would have crashed into something by now.
