Jahall took a small breath in, never had any creature continued a conversation with him. He had tried conversing with other species before, but this time was different. He loosened his body dropping into a lying position so that he could look at her snout to snout instead of towering over her. Jahall wasn't all too worried about the male, these cat like animals probably could not inflict serious damage on him if it came to that.
"I am a Zepharian, we are related to the ancient drake of the skies, freezing like I did is something we can do when we sense a threat, though I did it as not to frighten you and your friend." His voice though resounding deep from his chest was still in its wind like tone. "I don't know of what creature you are called either, Aphrena." Her name came out as 'Apree-a' when he spoke; he still had yet to master certain sounds on his tongue.
If one was to look at Jahall at the moment though, he would have seemed like a pleased cat after catching a mouse. His long thin tail waved back and forth across the earth, his foreclaws kneading into the ground as he gazed at her. Jahall was barely keeping a loud purr from rumbling up from his chest again; he was elated that finally he was speaking to something not of his own species. Something that spoke a similar language at that not to mention something he had never seen nor heard of before.

"Orcential, my species is. We are the cousins of the Ocelot, you have heard of them, yes? That's very kind of you. You seem friendly enough. Would you like some? There's more than we can eat." She said, looking back towards the meal. She watched Danter look up, shock quickly filling his features. She watched as he dug his claws into the dirt and rushed to her, stopping in front of her, his back covering her face.
Danter hissed and snarled at the other creature. He didn't seem too harmful, as Aphrena was not running. She would run if she felt she was in danger. He backed up until he was touching her, arching his body so that he could strike the other creature if need be.
Aphrena let out a hearty purr before jumping calmly over him. "As I was saying." She laughed as she walked over to the kill, leaving Danter looking foolish.

If a Zepharian could wear a smile on their snout, Jahall was wearing one. He watched calmly as the male skittered over, fur spiked and eyes venomous. Jahall lowered his head at the male Orcential to show a submissive like posture. He then rose so that his head was high above the male and looking after Aphrena. "Oh, no thank you, Apreea, I and my father were lucky enough to find a meal fit for us." He said normally, his voice rumbling from deep in his chest. To be honest he was relieved he no longer had to hiss; Zepharian's rarely used hissing as a way of communication, they had to avoid the use of their voice box and for them it could mean a sore throat later on.
Sending a small glance down at Danter he moved up from his lying position, making sure to step around the cat, though really he could have just stepped over him. It was due in respect and Jahall wanted good first impressions on the two, he felt as if he was in Aphrena's debt for not alerting the male Orcential before hand.
"And I have heard of the Ocelot, they are handsome cats, I can see that your family was well named." He said keenly, sage eyes looking over the dark brown, tans, whites, and blacks of their pelts. Much more interesting than my hide, he thought with some jealousy. "How old are you by the way, Apreea." He asked, settling by her and the kill. At his guess, Jahall thought her to be at least forty.

OOC- Way to make her feel old.
BIC- Danter slowly walked back over to the kill, his head hung. He felt bad because he was overly aggressive. He sat behind Aphrena, slowly licking his paws. He looked up as he heard him talk about Aphrena's age. He snorted a little laugh before quieting himself with a glare from Aphrena.
"Oh good. Why thank you. I am three, and you?" She smiled at him as she sat back on her haunches. She observed him, his demeanor being one of happiness. "Where'd you come from?"

"Three?" Asked Jahall, he had been completely wrong. He nodded as if he had expected a number like that when really he hadn't. "I'm at the age of fifty four right now, my father is two hundred and six," He pondered how old had his mother been when she died? "I came from the city, I live in a building towards the center."
His sage eyes looked over at the male, noticing how Aphrena had glared towards him when he had quietly snickered. Jahall was about to go into detail about where the building was and what stone paths to take to get there when he felt a too familiar twinge strike over his skin. Radiation, his mind hissed in recoil. His claws curled into the ground in irritation; he had completely forgotten the dangers of being out in the open for too long. His tail began to lash back and forth as he lowered his head slightly.

"Wow, our species does not live that long. You live in the city? What's wrong?" She asked in wonder as she saw his demeanor change rapidly. Aphrena looked over at Danter, wondering if he had done something to irritate this new creature. She raised an eyebrow and watched Danter look at her with a 'what? I didn't do it.' face. She looked back at Jahall, seeing he was still aggravated.

"Once upon a time..." Jahall began in a low hiss. "The humans destroyed our Earth with their domes of fire, radiation they call it. It hurts me; hence I should be on my way soon." His lips lifted up to show the hundreds of small, sharp, curved teeth in his maw. With a low growl he moved from his spot and began to trot away. His skin felt as if it was bubbling off from his muscle, every time he moved and stretched his skin it was as if a edged rock was slowly digging beneath the skin.
"I'm not sure about your species, but I'm considering that it is not healthy for you to be out here either." He hissed.

"Oh, okay." Aphrena looked over at Danter, not sure where to go. She watched him shrug and look over at Jahall.
"Can we come with you? Just for the moment, until it passes?" Danter asked, never really considering the fact that there was always radiation around this part of the forest. It had affected him slightly, but only when he stuck around for extended periods of time, such as hours.

Bella-Rose opened her eyes as she heard a noise from where she was sitting. She got up slowly before she froze in place for a moment. Taking a deep breath, she pulled the blanket over her and went on her way again, not wanting to find out what the noise was. She wanted to be three years younger again, so she could be with her parents again before the fire erupted and burned their makeshift longhouse to the ground. After walking for a long while, she heard voices from a short distance. She crouched down and approached a hollow tree and climbed in to easedrop on the voices. As she leaned a little, she felt the rotted wood crack.

Jahall stepped over a fallen statue, a low growl rumbling from his throat. "You may come along, but fair warning, my father is also where we are going, but no need to worry too much; he's too old to cause any harm to you." He hissed, sending a short look back at the cats. He let out a breath as he tilted his head up to the sky; if it started raining they would all be doomed. One thing that Zepharian's knew was that having contact with acid rain and radiation could send their fragile skin into horrible rash that turned into blisters that were too deep in the skin to release the pressure. If they did release, the open skin would never heal properly, but turn into a horrid grey scar.

Aphrena stopped for a moment, looking at Danter. He was still walking so she decided to keep going. She was slightly worried about the father, but if he couldn't do any harm then she shouldn't be all that scared. She leapt over the statue, looking up in the direction of Jahall. She finally got tired of it and stood up on her back paws, unsteadily. She walked carefully as she tried to get used to it.

Bella-Rose took a deep breath and walked behind the creatures. She walked beside the Zepharian and cleared her throat. "Hi..." she said confidently.

Jahall looked down at this sudden creature that now stood by his side. A human his mind suddenly hissed. "Greetings human." He growled speaking their language. It had been such a long time since he practiced speaking English and still he had to twist his tongue for it to sound clearly. His long, massive head cocked to the side as he looked down at her. She was small for a human though...
He then looked back at the two wary cats, sage eye widening as he noticed Aphrena was no longer on four legs but on two; and she was wobbling forward. He looked away to look back down at the little human. "Why do you come here?" He grated, tongue pressing against his bottom teeth as he spoke. In his species language they didn't have to worry about rolling their tongue to form words, their throats did that; but English was different, in fact every human language was different and complex. Some languages were throaty while most of the others required their tongue to form words.

Danter stood when he saw Aphrena do it. He was better at it, had practiced more. He hissed at the girl and narrowed his eyes, standing slightly in front of Aphrena.
Aphrena eyed the creture curiously, knowing there wasn't a likely chance it would hurt her. She turned her head a little and fell to all fours, not used to two legs. She hit the ground hard and growled a little before slowly standing up again, trying to be intimidating.

"Katsian, actually," corrected Bella-Rose, pulling her makeshift hood off and pinning her hair back to show off her elf-like ears. "A lot of my people mistake me for a human because I'm so short." The tone of her voice made her sound airy and sophisticated, as all Katsians should sound. "I'm supposed to be about six feet tall by now but I don't know how this could happen. I lost my way and have been wandering for three years. I was wondering if I could follow you to somewhere where I can have something to eat and a place to stay." She looked at the Zepharian as she waited for his response.
