((okay!!!!))
Serafina coughed, clearing the dust from her lungs. She had been wandering, something she was prome to do when she was bored at home. A couple years ago, she had married Kyle, as one last offer to the dying human race. They had not met anyone, and the priest who had married them had been killed the next say.
Now, Serafina didn't love Kyle, she just wanted to do her part in helping the human race replenish, but her efforts were in vain. They had been trying for a child for two years, and nothing. Kyle had given up a month ago, leaving Serafina sobbing with want of a child.
She sighed, sitting in the meadow she had come upon. She usually sat here, and cried. She was never going to have a child. She was never going to be a mother. Ever. Kyle wouldn't want to try again, only to give up when it didn't work. She sighed, resting her chin on her knees as a couple of tears slipped down her cheeks.
---
Kyle came home to an empty house. He sighed, knowing Serafina was out again. He didn't know where she did or what she did, but she always came home smelling like the outdoors, with her eyes all red and puffy from crying, assuring Kyle's mind that she was still faithful to him.
He knew that him giving up on the prospect of having a child hurt her, and he knew why she married him. He tried, really and honestly tried, to give her a child for two years, but he couldn't. They didn't know why, but they couldn't have a child, and Kyle didn't see any reason to keep trying.
He sat on their bed, big enough for three people. Serafina had wanted it because she wanted the experience of their child coming at night, claiming having a nightmare, and sleeping right inbetween his/her mother and father. But, he couldn't give her that.
Kyle looked at their calender, noticing that tomorrow was their anniversary. He wanted to see her smile again. When he married her, he didn't care what happened to her, as long as they played their part and helped their race. Over time, he grew to care for her, the feeling eventually turning into some form of love. It hurt him that she was always crying and yelling at him for giving up on them, but he had to. he couldn't give her any false hope, for anything.
---
Serafina returned home, eyes red and puffy. She walked into the dining room to see Kyle waiting for her. Next to him was a hot bowl of mac n' cheese, something he always made for her after she came home, but he was never waiting for her. She offered a gentle smile as she sat, ans started to eat.
"So," He started, "Tomorrow is out anniversary." He said. She nodded, knowing that already, "Sefi," That was his nickname for her, "I want to know what you want to do." She shrugged, continuing to eat, "Is there anything you want? Something you want me to do for you?" He asked, placing his hand over the one she was not using.
She stopped eating, "You know what I want." She said, voice hoarse from sobbing, "One more chance. That's what I want." She told him, "Just once more, please." She begged. He sighed and smiled at her, nodding, "Really?" He nodded again.
"If that's what you really want." He told her, "I love you, I really do. You know that, right?" She nodded, "And I want you to be happy. If you want to try one last time, we will. But I'm not going to promise you anything. I don't want to promise you that it'll be the time, because you'll be hurt if its not." He explained, "I aleady know that in a couple of weeks, you'll be crying because you're not showing symptoms." He breathed out.
Serafina nodded and smiled, fresh tears in her eyes, "Thank you, Kyle." She whispered, weary of her voice, "You are the best." The mac forgotten, they left the table and went to the couch, her head on his shoulder and his arms around her, a position they haven't been in for a while.

Jahall lifted his lips over his slender ivories, a rumble of a growl riseing to his throat. Ah yes, he had heard of the Katisans; and he had heard of their snotty attitude for the humans. Killing off the ones that had managed to survive. He lowered his head to look at her clearly, emerald eyes narrowed as he pointedly glared at her.
"Petty beings such as you should have been the ones to have died out, you do not deserve a world you did not die in battle to keep. The humans fought valiantly to protect the world you now endure. They had their faults but I never saw a single Katisan fight for this Earth." He hissed, the words drawn out as he spoke the human language. The anger that bubbled from a deep part in his gut was unleashing itself to his mind. It was a rage he felt, all the uneeded death, and these Katisans had clamed the humans a threat; they had practically cheered the Superior on. "You will not be following us, not with your violence. I took an oath that I would aide any human that fell into my clutches. It has always been my speices duty to protect everything that fought for survival. The humans have rights to the planet they died trying to protect."
With his last words he flicked his tail for the two cats to follow him, his pace brisk as he climbed over fallen stone and vehicles.

"I've never had anything against humans," explained Bella-Rose, keeping her pace up with Jahall. "My village shunned me when I spared a human's life and so I had no choice but to leave. I also have reason to suspect that some of my kind want me dead because I look more human than Katsian and I aid any human I can. I'm an oddity, I guess."

((You do know that even if Jahall has short legs doesn't mean he can't out-walk your char. Jahall is a fast motherf***er.))
Jahall unleashed a snarl as he snapped around and glared down the Katisan. His emerald eyes filled with loathing and anger. It would only take a few steps for him to snap at the elf and devour her, it wouldn't matter anyway; if there were others out looking for her, seeing her gone was better then being caught sheltering her. "I will not allow you to live amoung us." He growled, long head lowering and becoming vertical so he could flash the bright colors of his crest.
Jahall did not want his new friends or his weary father to die because of some arrogant elf. This was not to be allowed; he knew she was sure to have others of her kind watching her closely. They could be prepareing to strike now... with a thought like that, Jahall felt the horror and rage fill his heart. Horror because he had been speaking in their language, any creature that could speak their language was a threat. For a being willing to destroy one race could employ others that spoke the same to rebel. Rage filled him because it was as if he had been tricked by something so inferior to his age and wisdom... he was acting like a hatch.

Danter hissed at her again, more ferociously this time. He snarled and spit, wishing she would just leave. Jahall had already told her she wasn't welcome and there was a real possibility of that this girl would cause them harm. He growled, deep from his throat.
Aphrena was a little less angry and rude. She looked at her curiously, never having met a species such as hers. She was rather naïve and only knew a few species, mainly the prey she ate and the major predators of her kind. She turned her head slightly and stood on two legs, leaning down a bit, lightly placing the paw of her right front leg on the ground.
She could understand what Jahall and Bella-Rose were saying but she wasn't too fluent in speaking it. Her mother and Danter had taught her many languages. She knew Danter was fluent in many languages, wanting to be able to communicate with everyone. She knew he knew how to speak this language very well and was rather confused as to why he refused to speak.
She opened her mouth to say something but decided against it. She didn't want to seem foolish so she talked in a rare language that her mother had taught her when she was fairly young. It was rare because only a few existed which used it. She hoped Jahall would be able to understand her. "Nganong ba sa ingon ferocious ngadto kaniya?" She raised an eyebrow, wishing to know.
*Nganong ba sa ingon ferocious ngadto kaniya? = Why are you so ferocious towards her?*

Kyle looked down at Serafina, noticing she had fallen asleep. He smiled gently, noticing her small smile. She was absolutly beutiful, and noting could match her looks. He picked her up and brought her to their bed, putting her under the warm covers. He laid next to her, leaving her on her side, the way she liked it. He would not force her to lay in his arms if it was something she didn't want. Kyle sighed, closig his eyes as sleep took him under, joining his wife in the dream world.

Bella-Rose sighed. "All right," she muttered. "I guess being a Katsian is a curse even though I would never harm anything." She walked in the opposite direction of Jahall and his companions before slipping off into the treeline. I will have to follow them silently then, she thought. I was hoping that I wouldn't resort to this...

Serafina slowly opened her eyes, seeing Kyle asleep next to her on his back. She smiled gently, scooting softly to his side and snuggling against him. Like magic, his arms went around her, as if he knew she was there in his arms. She rested her head on his chest, listening to the beating of his heart against her ear as she drifted off again.
